Configuration Guide Vol. 1

20.1.6 100GBASE-R

This section explains interfaces using 100GBASE-R optical fiber.

<Structure of this section>

(1) Connection interface

100GBASE-SR4,100GBASE-CWDM4,100GBASE-LR4,100GBASE-4WDM-40, and 100GBASE-CR4 are supported. The line rate supports 100Gbit/s, full-duplex, fixed-connection or auto-negotiated connection.

100GBASE-SR4

Used for short-distance connections. Only full-duplex fixed connections are supported (multi-mode, transmission length: max 100m*).

100GBASE-CWDM4

Used to connect between short distances and medium distance. Only full-duplex fixed connections are supported (multi-mode, transmission length: max 2km*).

100GBASE-LR4

Used for medium-distance connections. Only full-duplex fixed connections are supported (single-mode, transmission distance-max 10km).

100GBASE-4WDM-40

Used to connect between medium and long distances. Only full-duplex fixed connections are supported (single-mode, transmission distance-max 40km*).

100GBASE-CR4

Used for short-distance connections. Only connections via during auto-negotiation are supported. (Transmission length: Max. 1m*).

#

The maximum distance depends on the cable used. For the transmission distance for each cable, refer to the "Hardware Instruction Manual".

(2) Connection Specifications

The following table describes the connection specifications for each connection interface. For the physical specifications of 100GBASE-R, refer to the "Hardware Instruction Manual".
