2.2 Number of lines
The maximum number of lines that can be accommodated for each model is shown below.
- <Structure of this section>
(1) AX3660S-24T4X,AX3660S-24T4XW, and AX3660S-48T4XW
The following types of AX3660S-24T4X,AX3660S-24T4XW, and AX3660S-48T4XW are available:
-
10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T
-
SFP+/SFP shared
When SFP + is used, it is 10GBASE-R, and when SFP is used, it is available in 1000BASE-X. Note that 10GBASE-R is available when you use a software license or optional license that corresponds to an uplink 10G.
-
QSFP + port (stack-only)
A port on a 40GBASE-R that uses QSFP+ and can only be used as a stacking port. This port is now referred to as a stack-only port.
The following table describes the types of ports and the number of lines that can be used.

An optional license (uplink 10G) is required to use SFP+ on SFP+/SFP shared port.
(2) AX3660S-16S4XW and AX3660S-24S8XW
The following types of AX3660S-16S4XW and AX3660S-24S8XW are available:
-
10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T
-
SFP
Ports that can be used in 1000BASE-X. It also supports and can be used as a 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T for SFP.
-
SFP + Ports
Ports that can be used in 10GBASE-R.
-
QSFP + port (stack-only)
A port on a 40GBASE-R that uses QSFP+ and can only be used as a stacking port.
The following table describes the types of ports and the number of lines that can be used.

For AX3660S-16S4XW, an optional license (port-count extension) is required. The following SFP ports and SFP + ports are available if the appropriate optional licensing is not configured:
.SFP port: 16 ports from ports 1 to 16
.SFP + port: 4 ports from ports 37 to 40
(3) AX3660S-48XT4QW
The following types of AX3660S-48XT4QW are available:
-
100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T/10GBASE-T
-
SFP+/SFP shared
When SFP + is used, it is 10GBASE-R, and when SFP is used, it is available in 1000BASE-X.
-
QSFP28/QSFP + shared port
It is 100GBASE-R when QSFP28 is used, and is available in 40GBASE-R when QSFP + is used. It can also be used as a stacking port. When using 100GBASE-R, some 100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T/10GBASE-T ports are disabled depending on the number of lines used.
The following table describes the types of ports and the number of lines that can be used.

If the port number used for 100GBASE-R is set using the configuration command system interface hundredgigabitethernet, some of 100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T/10GBASE-T ports are disabled. For more information, see Configuring 14.5 100GBASE-R and Changing 100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T/10GBASE-T Locks.
(4) AX3660S-24X4QW and AX3660S-48X4QW
The following types of AX3660S-24X4QW and AX3660S-48X4QW are available:
-
SFP+/SFP shared
When SFP + is used, it is 10GBASE-R, and when SFP is used, it is available in 1000BASE-X. It also supports a 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T for SFP and can be used as a 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T.
