19.2.2 Configuring Logging syslog Outputs

In the Switch, you can set facility and severity to be added to syslog send-data-header section in units of destinations and in units of devices. If you set the destination unit setting and the device unit setting at the same time, the destination unit setting is used.

Points to note

Configures a switch so that it uses the syslog output functionality to send the log information to the syslog server.

Command examples

1. (config)# logging host LOG_HOST facility local3 severity 4

   Set the log to the hostname LOG_HOST and facility to print at local3,severity 4.
