20.1.1 Port types and supported functions
- <Structure of this section>
(1) Port Type
The following table lists the port types and the Ethernet standards supported for each port.
Port type |
Ethernet standard |
---|---|
10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T |
10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T |
100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T/2.5GBASE-T |
100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T |
SFP |
1000BASE-T, 1000BASE-X |
SFP+/SFP shared |
1000BASE-T, 1000BASE-X, 10GBASE-R |
(a) 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T
Use a 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T twisted-pair cable (UTP).
(b) 100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T/2.5GBASE-T
Use a 100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T/2.5GBASE-T twisted-pair cable (UTP).
(c) SFP
It supports SFP of 1000BASE-SX,1000BASE-LX,1000BASE-LH, and 1000BASE-BX.
When connecting with 1000BASE-T, use SFP-T.
(d) SFP+/SFP shared
When connecting with 1000BASE-T, use SFP-T.
When connecting by 1000BASE-X, SFP of 1000BASE-SX,1000BASE-LX,1000BASE-LH, and 1000BASE-BX is supported.
When connecting via 10GBASE-R, 10GBASE-SR,10GBASE-LR,10GBASE-ER,10GBASE-BR's SFP + is supported. It also supports a direct attach cable.
The direct attach cable is a cable connected between SFP+/SFP shared ports and SFP + is connected to both ends. They function in the same way as 10GBASE-R. Refer to the "Hardware Instruction Manual" for the ports to which the direct attach cable can be connected.
(2) Connection Modes and Supported Functions
