14.1.4 Operation Procedure Using Zero-Touch Provision
Zero touch provisioning is available for machine replacement. In such a case, use the following procedure.

(1) Replacement procedure

Prepare a new device for replacement.
Set VLAN to be used for communication with AX-Network-Manager and prepare a device with zero touch provisioning enabled.

Register MAC addressof the new device to AX-Network-Manager.
MAC address of the backup file managed by AX-Network-Manager is changed to MAC address of the new device.

Replace the failed device with a new one, and route LAN cabling etc. as they were before the replacement.

Turn ON the power to the new unit.

Automatically starts restoring device information.
At this time, only VLAN used for communication with AX-Network-Manager can communicate, and all other VLAN discard the communication.
After the restoration is complete and the appliance has been restarted, all VLAN can communicate.
(2) Checking after Startup
After the switch is started, you can check show system of the operation command and the operation log.

Zero-Touch Provisioning Operation Mode Activation
An automatic restore is performed to indicate that the appliance has started.

Normal mode activation
Indicates that automatic restore was not performed and the Switch started with the device information of the relevant switch.
Factors that have been activated in normal mode include failures to connect to AX-Network-Manager or to read a restoration file.
