14.1.5 Configuring power supply critical failure determination for fixed power supply models

In the fixed power supply model, if power is supplied to only one power supply or a power failure occurs by setting the configuration command power redundancy-mode, it is determined that a serious failure has occurred, and an event-level 8 operation message is displayed, and ST1 LED blinks red.

Points to note

To use both power supplies, set the configuration command power redundancy-mode. However, if only one power supply is used, it is erroneously determined that a serious failure has occurred. Therefore, do not set power redundancy-mode command..

Command examples

  1. (config)# power redundancy-mode redundancy-check

    In the configuration mode, if an error is detected by the power supply, this setting determines that the error is a serious failure.
