33.2.3 Configuring MLD Querier Function

Points to note

When no multicast router exists within a VLAN for which MLD snooping is set, MLD querier functionality needs to be run. The following sets the VLAN interface configuration mode for the corresponding VLAN. The following shows an example in which VLAN2 is set to IPv6 addressused by MLD querier facility (fe80::100).

Command examples

1. (config)# interface vlan 2

   (config-if)# ipv6 mld snooping querier fe80::100

   Switches to VLAN interface configuration mode of VLAN2 and enables MLD querier function.

Notes

This setting does not take effect unless IPv6 is set for the corresponding interface.
