14.1.3 Configuring PoE Power Supply Expansion-Mode

PoE power supply can be expanded when two power supply units are used by setting the configuration command power redundancy-mode combined.

Points to note

To extend PoE power supply using both power supplies, set the configuration command power redundancy-mode combined.

However, if two power supply units are used and the total power supply of the entire device exceeds the maximum supply capacity of one power supply unit, the power supply of all ports is stopped and the device is restarted. For this reason, do not use power redundancy-mode combined command when operating the power supply in a redundant configuration.

1. (config)# power redundancy-mode combined

   In configuration mode, set to PoE power supply extended mode.
