Configuration Guide Vol. 1

14.1.2 Power Redundancy Configuration Failure Detection

If power is supplied to only one power supply or a power supply shutdown failure occurs by setting the configuration command power redundancy-mode redundancy-check, it is determined that the power supply is not in a redundant configuration, and event-level 8 operation messages are displayed, and ST1 LED blinks amber.

Points to note

To use both power supplies, set the configuration command power redundancy-mode redundancy-check. However, if only one power supply is used for the purpose of operation, you should not set power redundancy-mode redundancy-check command. This is because it is incorrectly determined that the power supply is not in a redundant configuration.

Command examples

  1. (config)# power redundancy-mode redundancy-check

In the configuration mode, if an error is detected on the power supply, it is determined that the redundant configuration has not been established.
