8.1.13 Configuring Optional Licenses

Here are the steps to add or remove optional licenses in the stack:

If you reboot and apply an optional license after adding or removing an option license, restart the master switch within 30 seconds after restarting the backup switch.

1. Log in to the master switch.

2. Execute enable commandto switch to administrator mode.

3. Add or remove optional licenses for the backup switch by specifying the switch number of the backup switch in switch parameter of set license or erase license command.

4. Add or remove an optional license for the master switch.

5. Restart all member switches in the stack for the optional licenses to take effect.
