20.3 Description of PoE

PoE(Power over Ethernet) is a function that supplies power to networked devices using UTP cabling for data communication. PoE is used for network devices installed at locations where external power is not readily available. In PoE, the power supplier is called power sourcing equipment (PSE), and the power receiver is called a powered device (PD).

The Switch is a power supply device that conforms to IEEE802.3af/IEEE802.3at or IEEE802.3bt standards. Connecting Pre.STD powered devices is not supported.
