24.12 Description of VRF [SL-L3A]

VRF is a technique for logically dividing a routing space. VRF allows a router to retain multiple instances of routing tables to perform concurrent transmission according to each routing table.

Because VRF separates the IPv6 address space, each VRF instance can use the same IPv6 address more than once. Routing protocols operate independently for each VRF.
