9.4.1 Environment for creating server certificates and keys

To create a server certificate and key for SSL, openssl must be running. Openssl operates in the following OS:

• a variant of the Unix operating system

• Windows system OS(cygwin must operate.)

Run openssl to create the server certificate and key. Use a version of openssl 1.0.2 or later. Also, refer to the open source openssl documentation for information on building openssl.
