Configuration Guide Vol. 2

6.2.5 EAPOL forwarding function

You can use the EAPOL forwarding functionality to relay EAPOL frames when IEEE 802.1X authentication is disabled. The Switch normally does not relay EAPOL packets because their destination MAC address is a reserved address in IEEE 802.1D. However, you can use this functionality to relay EAPOL frames when IEEE 802.1X is disabled. Configure EAPOL forwarding when using the Switch as an L2 switch between a terminal and another authenticator.

For the setting example of this function, see "Configuration Guide: Configuration of Vol.1" "25.6 L2 Protocol Frame Transparency Function".
