15.2.4 Executing update command in a stack configuration

For stacked configurations, follow these steps to update:

  1. Execute enable commandI will.

    The command prompt changes to "#".

  2. Execute cd /usr/var/update commandI will.

  3. Run cp k.img switch <switch no.> /usr/var/update/k.img command. Copy the update file to the update target switch.

    For <switch no.>, specify the switch number of the forwarding destination.

  4. Execute remote command <switch no.> ppupdate /usr/var/update/k.img command on the master switch to update the update target switch other than the master switch.

  5. Run ppupdate k.img commandto update the master switch.

    When the update is complete, the appliance automatically restarts.

  6. After rebooting, log in to the device again.

  7. Run show version command. Verify that it is working with the updated version.
