Points to note

To synchronize the switch's clock with other devices using NTP functionality, configure authentication for security purposes.

Command examples

1. (config)# ntp authenticate

   Enables the NTP authentication functionality.

2. (config)# ntp authentication-key 1 md5 NtP#001

   Sets NtP#001 in key number 1 as the NTP authentication key.

3. (config)# ntp trusted-key 1

   Specifies key number 1 for NTP authentication.
