35.2.1 Command list

The following tables list the commands used to configure IPv6 communication.

Table 35-7: List of configuration commands

Command name

Description

ipv6 address

Sets the IPv6 address.

ipv6 enable

Enables IPv6 on an interface. This command automatically creates a link-local address.

ipv6 icmp error-interval

Specifies the sending interval of ICMPv6 error messages.

ipv6 nd accept-ra

Receives Router Advertisement messages and performs stateless address auto-generation.

ipv6 neighbor

Creates a static NDP table.

ipv6 route

Generates an IPv6 static route.

interface loopback #

Moves to the loopback interface level.

ipv6 address (loopback) #

Specifies an IPv6 address for a loopback interface.

Shows the status of a network.

ping ipv6

Performs an ICMPv6 Echo test.

traceroute ipv6

Shows an IPv6 route.

show ipv6 route

Displays the routing table for IPv6.

show ipv6 router-advertisement

Displays the address and default route information for receiving Router Advertisement messages.

show tcpdump

Monitors incoming and outgoing packets.
