34.2.4 Configuring the loopback interface

Points to note

The example below shows how to set IPv4 addresses for identifying the Switches. Only one address can be set.

Command examples

1. (config)# interface loopback 0

   Switches to interface configuration mode for the loopback interface.

2. (config-if)# ip address 192.168.1.1

   Sets IP address 192.168.1.1 for the loopback interface.
