29.5.1 Operation with single ring

The following figure shows an example of a single-ring configuration that includes stacked nodes.

In a single-ring configuration that includes stacked nodes, the following operations are the same as in a single-ring configuration that does not include stacked nodes. For details, see 29.3 Overview of Single-Ring Operation.

• Normal ring operation

• Behavior when a fault is detected, except for a fault in the member switches that comprise the stack.

• Behavior when recovery is detected, except for a member switch failure that constitutes a stack.
