22.4.3 Batch setting of multiple interfaces

Points to note

When Ethernet is configured, the same information sometimes needs to be set for multiple interfaces. In such cases, range interfaces can be specified to set all interfaces at once.

Command examples

1. (config)# interface range gigabitethernet 1/0/1-10, gigabitethernet 1/0/15-20, tengigabitethernet 1/0/27

   Switches the configuration mode from Gigabit Ethernet interface 1/0/1 to 1/0/10, 1/0/15 to 1/0/20, and 10 Gigabit Ethernet interface 1/0/27.

2. (config-if-range)# *****

   Performs the same configuration for all the interfaces.
