17.3.2 Notes on Optional Licenses

• Set an optional license that corresponds to the device.

• Optional license configuration information is stored on the appliance.

  When replacing the equipment or installing new software, you need to reset the optional licenses. You do not need to reset the option license when upgrading the software.

• If you set an optional license, you must restart the appliance for the settings to take effect.

• You can configure additional optional licenses for a feature, with optional licenses for that feature configured.
