12.1.1 Supported NTP

The following tables show NTP functions supported by the Switch.

Client function	Unicast client	Synchronizes the time of the Switch with the time of the host NTP servers.	OK

Server function	Unicast server	Provides time from the Switch to NTP client/child NTP servers.	OK
	Broadcast server		OK
	Multicast server		NG
Symmetric connection		Synchronize the time in both directions.	OK
Local time server		When communication with the host NTP server is no longer possible, the Switch functions as a local time server and provides the time of the Switch to NTP clients.	OK
Per		Authenticate for security purposes when synchronizing the time with other devices. This prevents unauthorized NTP servers from altering the time.	OK
