8.1.7 Restoring to the initial installation configuration
From a stack consisting of a member switch with switch number 1 and switch number 2, return each member switch to its initial configuration. Disconnect from the network before setting up the stack in a single configuration.
- Points to note
-
Delete the startup configuration on each member switch. After deleting, you must restart the device. The procedure is the same for all member switches.
Command examples
-
               # erase startup-config Deletes the startup configuration of this member switch.
-
               # reload Restart the member switch. For a member switch with switch number 1, it operates as a stand-alone switch with switch number 1 after reboot. Even for a member switch with switch number 2, since stack enable configuration has been deleted after the switch is restarted, the switch number automatically returns to 1 and operates as a stand-alone switch with switch number 1.
