The AX3600S series possess the routing functions that are comparable to those of the key routers, the AX7800 series, and are the gigabit layer 3 switches that are ideal for the site-site connection of enterprise networks and LAN. The switches are compact at 1U and support 10G uplinks and the PoE. The switches inherit the advanced functions for high reliability and security of the AX7800S series; thus they are the layer 3 switches that possess high performance/cost ratios.

1.Routing Function
- Stable High Routing Function
The switches provide highly reliable routing and load distribution using multi path with the OSPF and BGP for the site-site connection that utilizes the wide area ethernet service and the IP-VPN service.
The switches possess routing software that is comparable to that of the key router, AX7800R series. - Support the IPv6/Multicast
The switches perform the IPv6 routing process with hardware, which is the same as the IPv4 routing process.
The switches support variety protocols such as static, RIPng, OSPFv3, BGP4+, multicast , etc. and allow for construction of various IPv6 networks.

- Functions for High Reliability
It is possible to construct highly reliable networks with redundancy for the lines, routes and devices by employing the standard functions such as link aggregation, RSTP, graceful restart (helper), VRRP and unique functions such as the GSRP (Gigabit Switch Redundancy Protocol), VRRP polling, static polling.

The switches give priority to the VoIP packets and provide clear voice by employing various shaper (PQ, WRR, WFQ, etc.) in the voice/data combined network.

- Authentication/Quarantine Solutions
It is possible to connect a PC to an arbitrary VLAN by maintaining the freedom of the physical configuration of the edge and authenticating the individual PC with the center authentication method that employs the IEEE802.1X function and the MAC VLAN function.
It is possible to construct a quarantine solution that automatically connect PCs that have passed the quarantine check to business VLAN by combining the authentication server and the quarantine server.
